Community of Practice Facilitator with Chab Dai Coalition
Description |
|
Chab Dai Coalition:
Vision: “Chab Dai dreams of a society where diverse groups and organizations work together to abolish all forms of abuse and exploitation.”
Mission Statement: “Chab Dai is inspired by Christian faith, commitment to excellence, and to work strategically and collaboratively in order to facilitate connectivity, generate and share knowledge, advocate for transformed societies and empowered communities, support strength and promote hope for the future.”
Overview:
Chab Dai has a proven track record as learning community of 57 Christian organizations who are directly working with more than 10,134 clients with 1,617 Staffs and 42 volunteers. As a community, we seek to build the capacity and support among national staff in order to raise the standard of care and intervention at both the organizational and community levels. Chab Dai also has the significant role of being a bridge builder – we seek to represent the Christian NGO community in a professional and relevant manner within other sectors such as Government and UN agencies.
Chab Dai and Cord have collaborated to implement a community of practice for practitioners and child leaders – who are engaged in promoting children’s participation in Cambodian society. The community of practice targets potential change-makers who self-identify for participation. We hope that by working with children, as rights holders, and practitioners, as duty bearers, we can encourage a virtuous cycle of learning, exchange, and stronger promotion of children’s rights in all aspects of society. The long term aim is that increased participation will lead to increased children’s voices in key social, political, and economic matters, which in turn will help to secure a wider range of rights for children, and prepare them to become informed, engaged, civic actors. |
