Context
BBC Media Action uses various forms of media and communications to tackle poverty and contribute to long-term change in some of the world’s poorest places. To achieve this, we partner with civil society, local media and governments to:
Produce creative programmes in multi-media formats which inform and engage audiences;
Strengthen the media sector through building professional capacity and infrastructure.

Job Purpose
The candidates will be in charge of managing the technical aspects of the website, Facebook Page and other online elements including design. He/she has to work together with a team to produce all the contents and other creative elements campaign. Also, he/she has to work closely with other elements of the projects such as Radio and TV. |

Online Technical Producer
Duties
- Produce and moderate content on the website, Facebook page and other online elements including the overall design of all social media output;
- Work closely with the Online Content Producer in order to produce the best possible content for Online program;
- Develop a clear understanding of the editorial policies of the BBC and the project;
- Identify errors and other abnormal technical aspects on online suites and figure out the best way to sort it out;
- Once social media outputs go live, ensure that contents are managed accordingly to the content schedule and are integrated across the other platforms
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, graphic design, media or equivalent on the job experiences.
- High imagination and able to think out of the box, loves to experiment with new & creative ideas in the design of social media outputs.
- Experience with content management systems or with web development and design.
- Strong working knowledge of social networking tools, e.g. Facebook, YouTube…
- Ability to use multiple media to develop and communicate design ideas quickly and effectively.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is required.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, problem-solving and negotiating skills
