Position Summary:
The purpose of the CFI School Manager (SM) role is to manage and train the school staff, supervise the students, and coordinate with child well-being teams about CFI school activities and issues. The School Manager’s tasks focus on the day-to-day supervision and support of teachers and students as well as the long-term management of the school. |

Duties
- Supervise the learning, behavior, and safety of students by working with the staff to maintain the CFI learning center as a clean and safe learning environment.
- Supervise the development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of course and lesson plans.
- Serve as a role model by setting a positive example at all times for all CFI staff and students.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging attitude towards all students, using positive discipline methods to create a safe, learning-friendly atmosphere at the center.
- Follow and adapt the working schedule provided by CFI (8 working hours per day, Monday to Friday, hours vary between 8:00 and 6:00).
- Ensure attendance of all staff meetings, trainings, and events as directed by the Education Coordinator or Director.
- Work as part of the management team to help CFI to fulfill its mission and achieve its vision, which includes strategic and operational planning and implementation of CFI education activities.
- Supervise all CFI School staffs, and ensure that all school staff properly follow policies and procedures of CFI.
- Facilitate the training, mentoring, and evaluation of teachers on high quality education and positive, non-discriminatory interactions with children, including classroom management, positive discipline, and student-centered learning.
- Counsel and communicate with students concerning academic and behavioral issues; communicate and coordinate with child well-being and education support staff regularly.
- Improve and help teachers implement a standardized grading system to evaluate the progress of students at each level.
- Plan and lead weekly teacher meetings.
- Provide information and complete reports as requested.
- Plan CFI School events, especially the Fun Season (August – October) during which CFI offers fun activities for students, provides training for staff, and improves programs and curricula.
- Organize purchasing materials for the CFI School.
- Manage the CFI School’s monthly budget.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in school administration, teaching, and/or teacher training
- Open to learning new ideas and new methods of working with children, and willing to challenge and change old methods.
- Clear understanding of CFI policies and systems
- Dedicated to child-centered education and teaching
- Excellent communication skills (especially listening!). Must be fluent in Khmer and have excellent English abilities (spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
