CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for Strategy Research Intern. We are working in 40 countries worldwide with programmes in Cambodia, Myanmar and SEA region. We are currently recruiting for a strategy research intern to assist our team based in Phnom Penh to conduct research for the development of country strategy paper in order to summarize of ongoing CAFOD South East Asia and Cambodia partnerships and provide suggestions for where CAFOD should focus its work in Cambodia.
Starting Salary of $ 229/month
Job Profile
The intern will assist programme team conduct research the Cambodia development context and regularly update staff in London and Phnom Penh office. One of the main responsibilities of the intern is in conjunction with the programme team; contribute to the preparation of country strategies and programme reviewing and development and planning documents to ensure country development strategies align with CAFOD’s strategies. As CAFOD is an international partnership organization, the intern will assist programme team compile information about partnership and relationships. The role also includes attending SEA team meetings or workshops and takes minutes and prepares presentations and documents for team meeting and other training workshops. In order to contribute to human resources development, the intern will be provided the learning and professional development opportunities including the programme/project cycle management in CAFOD, country strategy and programme development, and social research and surveys for development works.
Your profile
The successful candidate will be a university degree in rural development, and social sciences or related field. The post holder will have experience on research and analytical skills specifically research methodologies development, data collection, data analysis and report writing. The language and computer skills are important include strong English written and verbal skills and written and spoken proficiency in Khmer and knowledge of office computer systems (World, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet research. A willing to work with a team, good communication, and strong commitment and be honest is also will be required for this post. |
